Alight’s Michelle Jacobs to Share Leadership Lessons on NAPW-KC Panel

Want to achieve absolutely massive success? Be ready to take small steps.

Michelle Jacobs is the president and co-founder of Alight Analytics. That’s one of the lessons that Michelle Jacobs, the president and co-founder of Alight Analytics, will offer during “Leveraging Small Wins Into Overall Goals,” an Oct. 24 panel presented by the National Association of Professional Women’s Kansas City Metro chapter.

Jacobs and her fellow panelists will discuss how leaders can use even small signs of forward movement to measure their team’s progress, increase motivation and ultimately record huge wins.

“The best way to conquer your biggest goals — the scary goals, the ones that feel almost impossible — is to take steady, persistent action,” Jacobs said. “If you show up every day and keep building on your progress, you’ll eventually get where you want to go.”

It was that philosophy that enabled Jacobs and her co-founder, Matt Hertig, to transform Alight Analytics from a two-person consultancy into one of America’s fastest-growing companies. Alight has made the Inc. 5000 list for two years in a row.

Jacobs regularly speaks to audiences about marketing strategy and analytics. She also talks about her experiences as a woman in the fields of data and marketing technology.

The NAPW-KC panel will feature insights from two other accomplished leaders:

  • Ari Kern, community and programs manager at Sprint Accelerator
  • Wendy Wright-Zeller, relationship director, performance management – learning and org effectiveness at Grant Thornton

“Leveraging Small Wins Into Overall Goals” will run from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 24 at Julep, 4141 Pennsylvania Ave., No. 104, in Kansas City, Missouri. Admission is free. You can register here.
