What did you do before you came to Alight?
I led one of the IT departments at the University of Washington. We were a “jack of all trades” IT shop that provided services to several departments at the university. Anything that needed to be done, we figured out how to do.

Majored in drama. “What?!? This quiet tech guy majored in drama?” Why, yes. Though my focus was primarily in productions, I do have an artistic side that includes storytelling and music. I’ve written some skits, sung in a few choirs, play bass guitar and mixed live sound for a number of bands.
If you were forced to change your name, what would you pick as your new name? Why?
Sean. I’m not sure why, but usually when people mess up my name, they end up calling me Sean. They would call out “Hey, Sean!” and wonder why I’m not responding. Might as well make it easier for them.
Cats, dogs or neither?
I don’t have any pets at the moment. Though if I were to choose, I’d probably get a cat. When I was growing up, our family cat was both a great cuddler and a hunter of unwanted pests like spiders. I hate spiders. Having another friendly, cuddly spider-hunter would be great!
