Alight Analytics is proud to welcome Michelle Williams as our newest Integrations Engineer. It’s an essential role. Basically, Michelle helps “build bridges” between clients’ data sources and our ChannelMix marketing intelligence platform, making it possible to access data quickly and reliably.

So what do you DO at Alight?
I write and maintain code to get clients’ data from various sources and into ChannelMix. Without my team, there is no data, so I guess you could say we’re kind of a big deal!
What did you do before you came to Alight?
I taught high school mathematics for eight years. Deciding to make a career switch, I taught myself Python and then attended a Data Analytics Boot Camp through the University of Kansas. I also got to stay home with my new baby girl a little longer than anticipated due to COVID.
What do you like to do when you aren’t at work?
Pre-COVID, I spent time with my kids, hosted and attended game nights or went out salsa dancing. Now, I spend a lot more time at home with kids. I enjoy it, but really miss my dance outings!
If you could instantly master one new skill, what would you choose?
A good start would be holding a handstand for five minutes at least, but in reality, I want to do what Sofie Dossi does. What she can do is AMAZING!
You’re allowed to banish one food product off the face of the earth. What are you getting rid of, and why?
Oysters … explanation not needed!
What’s your go-to snack?
Apples with peanut butter OR blue chips with salsa.
