Everything You Need to Know About Digital Summit KC

Digital Summit

Digital Summit
Digital Summit is returning to Kansas City — our hometown! — on May 16-17, and we couldn’t be more excited. We’re big believers in the show’s value to marketers.

The two-day conference will feature dozens of workshops led by speakers from the Kansas City Chiefs, CBS, Neiman Marcus, Airbnb, Best Buy and other leading brands.

And those experts will be covering a huge range of topics, including marketing analytics, content marketing, UX, email, storytelling, SEO, social media and more.

Bottom line: If you’re a digital marketer who wants to discover new solutions or find inspiration for your next big project, Digital Summit KC is going to have something that benefits you.

Where and When (and How to Save $75)

Digital Summit KC will take place at the Overland Park Convention Center, 6000 College Blvd. — where it was held last year, in fact. The venue has plenty of free parking. And if you’re looking for a nice restaurant nearby, try Town Center Plaza or Prairiefire, both a quick drive from the convention center.

The main Digital Summit conference will run May 16-17, but you can pay extra to attend dedicated workshops on conversion optimization and Google Analytics on May 15. There are also additional half-day sessions on the morning of May 16.

If anyone knows how to use humor to build and promote a business, it’s Dikkers, who turned a small college publication into one of the country’s best-known comedy brands. He literally wrote the book on “How to Write Funny.”

Matt Hertig speaks at Digital Summit KC 2017.And not to brag, but we think you’ll enjoy “Speed to Insight: The Key to Marketing Analytics,” the latest talk from Matt Hertig, Alight’s CEO, at 2:30 p.m. May 16.

Matt will give you a road map for rapidly evolving your marketing analytics practice — whether you’re looking for a way to deliver reporting faster or you want to produce more sophisticated analysis and insights.

On May 17, James Royer, the director of digital media and strategy for the Kansas City Chiefs, will share how the team uses content strategy to drive engagement with fans. He’ll speak at 11 a.m.

And Liza Dunning, brand writer and content lead at Airbnb, will give the Day 2 keynote, “The What, Why, and How of Community-Driven Brand Content,” at 12:30 p.m.
